TERRACE, B.C. – Residents of Terrace are invited to come together for a special Canada Day celebration at the Heritage Park Museum tomorrow, July 1, for an afternoon of fun, learning, and community spirit that will also support a vital cause.
The event, which runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., offers a family-friendly way to mark the day while reflecting on our nation’s history. Admission to the celebration is by donation, with all proceeds going directly to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society Fund.
The afternoon at Heritage Park (4702 Kerby Ave.) will be filled with activities for all ages, including:
- Live music from local band Dr. Fishy.
- Games and hands-on crafts for kids.
- A silent auction.
- Delicious food from a local food truck.
- Free Canada Day cake and drinks.
The celebration is a collaborative effort supported by a wide range of community partners, including the City of Terrace, Kitsumkalum First Nation, the Terrace Art Gallery, and SkeenaWild Conservation Trust, among others.
This event provides a wonderful opportunity for the community to gather in a meaningful way on Canada Day, celebrating community while supporting the important work of reconciliation and healing.
