TERRACE, B.C. – Start your Canada Day with a full plate for a good cause at the Terrace Fire Department’s annual pancake breakfast on Tuesday, July 1.
The community is invited to the Terrace Fire Hall between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for the beloved holiday tradition. The event, hosted by the Terrace Professional Firefighters Local 2685, raises funds for the BC Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund.
The Burn Fund is a vital charity dedicated to supporting burn survivors, funding recovery programs, and promoting burn prevention education across the province.
The annual breakfast has deep roots in the community. It originally started as a one-time fundraiser to help a local Terrace family in need. The event proved to be such a great success and received such strong community support that the firefighters decided to make it an annual tradition.
Breakfast costs $10 for adults, and is free for children under the age of five, making it a perfect kick-off to the day’s festivities for the whole family.
