TERRACE, B.C. – Get ready to celebrate on the shores of the Skeena, as details for the 2025 Terrace Riverboat Days festival are being announced, including the theme for the beloved annual parade.
The festival, a summer staple in Terrace, is set to run from August 1 to 10. The Terrace Riverboat Days Society has confirmed the parade will take place on Saturday, August 2, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. along Lakelse Avenue. This year’s theme is “Shores of Celebration: A Festival of Community,” encouraging vibrant and creative floats from local businesses and community groups.
Immediately following the parade, the action moves to George Little Park for the free Concerts in the Park. From noon until 9 p.m., a lineup of top Northwest bands will perform. The event will also feature local food vendors and family activities. Organizers have teased a “super-secret headliner” for the concert, with the big reveal scheduled for Wednesday, July 2.
Organizers are reminding the community that there is still time to get involved in the festivities. The deadline for community groups to register an official event and be included in the printed program is Friday, June 27. The deadline for entries into the parade is Monday, July 21.
All necessary forms and information for registering an event or entering the parade can be found on the official Riverboat Days website at riverboatdays.ca.
